I guess the internet cable improved the connection, but didnt solve the problem. I'll post the log files when I get on pc! thank you for the help so far
Good Evening Everyone. I have a question. I am attempting to Stream Warzone with a 2080 Super and Streamlabs OBS. The only way I can get more than 30 frames per second is to set the game settings to potato. How do I fix it?(edited)
@TITANIA There is certainly an issue. There are a couple encoder overloads, but the one I'm looking into is the giant block of "Discarded samples". My guess is this is where it's stuttering.

@bbqfloss Send me your most recent log and maybe we can track it down. Because you're using SLOBS, you'll have to retrieve it from the logs folder> %APPDATA%\OBS\Logs
3:16 AM
I'm going to do a test real quick as well
3:19 AM
I wanted to see if I could force that option to reset using the "Deactivate when not showing" checked. This makes no change.
@TenderSausage So I reinstalled Nvidia Broadcast in hopes that I could at least use my webcam for meetings there without a problem and it also got hijacked by my exposure issue
It seems to be changing the exposure after the screen has been idle for a few minutes, often simultaneously to another issue I'm having with my logitech mouse DPI
Here is a screen capture of what happens. Everything is fine with going live, and connection is good. My internet is excellent. But 2 seconds after going live I lose connection, every time
thank you for all the help so far, I appreciate it. One thing I haven't done is to wait for a few minutes in case the stream would automatically reconnect.
One thing I noticed just now is you have two refresh rates, 59Hz and 60Hz. Make sure they’re both at 60.
11:38 PM
The 27G2G4
11:44 PM
But I think you’d honestly get rid of some issues by updating Windows. It could be an audio issue which I’m fairly sure will be resolved by updating to 21H1 of Windows 10.
11:45 PM
It will at least trigger device driver updates.
11:46 PM
That’s what I’d do if it were me. Update windows to 21H1, update drivers, then make sure the refresh rates on your two displays match. @TITANIA
@TITANIA Step 1: Right click on desktop, Display Settings
1:43 PM
Step 2: Scroll to the bottom, and go to Advanced Display Settings
1:44 PM
Step 3: Check both monitors and adjust the refresh rate using the box at the bottom. I suggest they both be at 60 for now while trying to troubleshoot.
I think I'll just reinstall windows. I cant even update it because of some "Your device is missing some important security and quality fixes"
12:53 AM
Now I wanna know if it's possible at all to save my work on OBS? Like scenes etc etc or do I just have to take notes of em and put them back once I've redownloaded OBS
When you ran the script from the video, did you get the message "Task completed succesfully! Please restart your computer and check for the updates again."?

my stream is always really choppy even with a consistent 60 fps (although it does get more choppy at lower frame rates). anybody know why this could be happening? im on streamlabs obs btw
@Joey Are you asking if you can play a media file within a scene? The answer to that is yes.
3:46 PM
To do it offline, you'll need a local copy of the file you wish you play
3:47 PM
I don't exactly understand what you mean by "render". If you want to incorporate a video file in a scene and record a new version, just start recording in OBS with your new scene.
@jacc and cheese There are a ton of reasons why you could be chopping. Here are some questions to start with: 1. What is your CPU, RAM, and GPU? 2. Is this a single-PC setup, or multi-PC? 3. What is your internet service's rated speed? 4. Please post screenshots of your "Video" settings screens from SLOBS. 5. Please post a screenshot of your "Output" settings with "Advanced" mode. 6. Is the choppiness in all games, or specific games?
Hey everyone, is there a way to have an audio clip on stream deck sync up (no delay)? I wanna be able to bop with it as I hear it, and have the audio and video be in sync in stream and vod later on. I have done this and there’s a little delay on the vod, not sure if it’s the case as I was live tho. Hope I made sense. haha. Thank you in advance ❤️
hi everyone, on the advice of my roommate (who is a professional voice actor), I just bought a focusrite scarlett solo to plug my SM58 into for better stream audio, but the damn thing gave me all sorts of trouble (including multiple crashes/reboots), and my win10 system only briefly recognized it and had it actually work correctly, then later it wouldn't even recognize it again. I've looked into several alternatives (presonus, behringer, m audio, etc), and the reviews on amazon suggest that all of them have some sort of driver/compatibility issues, apparently windows 10 and ryzen CPUs are known for compatibility issues with USB audio interfaces? wondering if anyone can help me. I had been borrowing roomie's AT2020 usb mic for streams but he needed it back, and that thing was literally plug and play and I'm frustrated that the 'better' option has been a massive p.i.t.a and doesn't even work. I might just say eff it and buy my own AT2020 because at least I know it works, even if it catches more ambient noise.
@LaceArt The first thing I would do is check that you have it plugged into a USB 2.0 port. Focusrite Scarlett devices are notorious for having issues when plugged into high-speed USB 3.x ports. If you look into the USB port on your computer, the center plastic part of the port should be black. If it's blue, green, red, or any other color but black, it's probably USB 3.x.(edited)
I did download the newest version of the software (and even downloading and installing the firmware update was a very touch and go process). I think the interface only actually got recognized by windows when plugged into a 3.0 port, I did try plugging it into basically every different port on the back of my tower and only one ever worked (but now doesn't again). I do have a ryzen cpu. i'm currently waiting to receive a powered USB hub that I ordered, I'm going to try and offload as much onto that as I can so that most of my USB ports on my actual tower are free/clear, which will hopefully help with this device, but no guarantee. I have a lot of different software installed on here and I think a fresh clean install/start from scratch wouldn't be a bad idea but that is also going to be a huge pain in the arse (and may not necessarily fix certain issues)
@TenderSausage the powered hub is for everything else (I have multiple mice, an external harddrive, a USB powered ring light, a webcam, an el gato video capture device, etc)
I will have to experiment with unplugging as much as I can and re-introducing things carefully. though currently the external hard drive is connected through a non-powered hub
@TenderSausage managed to get my roommate to help me get it working, but it still ended up taking at least another half hour and re-installing the special software twice more. still have to test it in obs but fingers crossed it stays working!
1. how do i get an xlr mic to work in OBS? I can record in Audition with it just fine via a UAD mixer, but it doesn't show up on there. Voicebanana or whatever I've tried but it was pretty wonky and messed up my sound drivers after a while 2. what music is okay to play on twitch? Is game music okay, generally? Soundtracks? What happens if I play copyrighted music while I stream but do nothing with the VOD?
8:12 AM
uhhh i had another one but i think thats it for now
@dorkasaurus_rex I think I can answer at least a couple of those (others can correct me if I'm wrong) 2)you're generally best to stay away from copywritten music, but my understanding is that it will just mute that section of the video in the after-stream playback (voice, game audio, everything), and if you try to upload the video to youtube later, they tend to just mute the entire video if there's any copyright detected. game music is fine yes, game soundtracks I would think if it's the game you're actually playing (but like a movie sound track no). and if you play the music in the background REALLY low (like barely audible), you can often get away with that. I've done that on youtube. it's better than pure silence but not 'taking advantage'
that I don't know, I'm pretty new to it myself. I know my ex used to do that a lot and she doesn't seem to have gotten any copyright strikes (that I know of)
Hello, my friend who recently streaming has been having an issue where no matter what she does when she runs a game her stream goes to poop. This is due to GPU and CPU giving almost 100% to games, is there any way to make it so OBS has more priority than the games so that the streams run well?
11:13 PM
Things like Friday Night Dunkin and Minecraft run fine, but as soon as it's a harder to run title such as monster hunter or shadow of the tomb raider it all goes downhill
11:14 PM
As in chat doesn't update, camera starts to lag, and more issues
@Bee Could you please provide the following? 1. Screenshot of your "Video" settings screens from OBS. 2. Screenshot of your "Output" settings with "Advanced" mode.

I really like it. I like the design and feel of it, I like the fact that it uses a Sony sensor and has the STARVIS low-light tech built in
5:27 PM
It certainly doesn't burden my computer as bad as the Logitech C922, but to be fair, NOTHING uses bandwidth like the C922
5:27 PM
I think it's the best ~$200 camera there is, frankly
5:27 PM
That's kind of saying something
5:29 PM
There's a lot of articles around the web talking about how it should have been 4K to compete at that price point, but that's a load of shit.
5:29 PM
Just because the Brio is 4K doesn't make it a good webcam
5:30 PM
What I see here is a POC of using some professional-level tech in the pro-sumer webcam space, and my guess is they release a Kiyo 4K sometime next year.(edited)
5:31 PM
I will say that, even with STARVIS and HDR, it probably should still have a ring light to really be a Kiyo webcam.
It’s on the corner of my desk and I didn’t actually look for the configs of it yet, I actually forgot to do that cause I had to leave right after setup
@Chorazin Have you ever noticed banding with your Kiyo Pro and the Nanoleaf? I just read a review that said "Oddly, it caused very noticeable banding across my Nanoleaf panels which none of my other cameras have ever displayed."
I use a Chroma Key filter so lights look like shit no matter what
8:19 PM
but i suspect it would be due to how the Kiyo Pro's HDR effect works, by taking a 60FPS video and kinda doubling the frame data so it's actually 30FPS. It's weird and interesting.
Hello everyone! Does anyone know how to add google chrome as a source on OBS? Basically I want to show something on chrome but I don't want the full window on stream. When I move the sizer, I want it to get cropped and not resized. Also, if I scroll on chrome, I want the image on OBS to also go along with it. Is this possible? I kinda remember seeing someone's stream being able to do something similar. Thank you! ❤️ P.S. I have tried adding browser source and window but they dont seem to achieve the thing I want.
Hey all! I tried to set up the alert that would have a dancing gif show up on screen if anyone subscribes, but I’ve never seen it show up. I have the Alertbox on the list of sources. Is this maybe just a premium feature?
When I click on Settings for Alertbox and do a Test Widgets, Donation it seems to show up. What I really need is a test user who will Subscribe on stream to see if it's working...
@TenderSausage I've had a few ppl say they subscribed and nothing popped up. I wasn't acting for subs though, I meant more "I should create a test user who will Subscribe" so I know 100% if it's working or not.
I wanna swap my 5D MK4 for my 6dMK2 using the Canon EOS webcam utility
11:02 PM
I currently use the El Gato Camlink 4k for my 5dmk4 to make it a webcam
11:02 PM
but I'd rather use my 5dmk4 as a camera camera and use my 6dmk2 to stream
11:02 PM
but I'm unsure if there's any downsides to the Canon EOS Webcam utility vs the El Gato Camlink
11:02 PM
I would LOVE if anyone had any solution for my audio mixer (UAD Apollo Twin USB) to be recognized without using Voiceemeter Ebanana or whatever that thing is called
@dorkasaurus_rex On the UAD, do you have the latest software installed? There are a couple of resolved issues with the Twin USB that might be of interest.
ANALOG SOUND AT THE SPEED OF LIGHT. LUNA transforms Apollo interfaces into the most inspiring and fully‑integrated Mac‑based recording systems on the planet.
If you already have the Camlink, I don't see a whole lot of upside to using the EOS utility other than some config stuff
1:24 AM
ASIDE from using the camera elsewhere
1:24 AM
that's a valid reason

Hey, I went through that article and still can't seem to get it working. I'm looking on the Analytics dashboard & it shows a few ppl subbed during a video on Sunday night. I can also hit the Refresh button and their name shows up in the StreamLabs preview.
5:46 AM
When I go to Alert Box Settings, Subscribers, it shows Alerts is Enabled. The rest of the settings are default except I changed Zombie Run into Colour Yoshi.

Is there a channel I can share a non-twitch clip? (TikTok). I started making TikToks of some of my gameplay but I don’t want to share it if I shouldn’t on this discord
Chorazin
During a video you uploaded or during a stream you were doing live?
I know they subscribed during the stream, because at the end YouTube gives a little card in the advanced menu that shows stats like that.
3:23 PM
The Alertbox has a sound but I didn’t hear anything. & it’s top layer so image should always be visible.

IDK if this matters, but I have a Raspberry Pi running Pihole on the network. It's supposed to be blocking tracking software and adware.... could it be blocking the alert from reaching my PC, so SLOBS never gets the message to run the alert?
Do I need to approve the icon popping up in the stream, or it should do it automatically? I know the Minifeed has a refresh button, do I click that every time somebody subscribes?

I didn't get any alerts again, and took this screenshot right after finishing a live streaming. The window in the middle, YouTube is telling me I got 7 new Subscribers during stream. But SLOBS in the left is saying my last subscriber was 5 days ago. Is there a way to get SLOBS updating, in real time?
@newegg, tell @ABSGamingPC gotta take the f***in' plastic off the cooler first, bud. 10850K with CPU over temp issues solved after correcting shoddy installation. Also, plug the pump into a pump header next time.
Hi all, i'm trying to do some mixed reality video in beat saber, i use 80fps since my pc can't handle more with index valve headset or it start to lag a bit (even if i have a 2080s). i use to record my videos with LIV and OBS from a 1080/60fps usb webcam. But everytime beat saber shows more than a certain amount of boxes to be cut, the framerate of the valve index drops to 30-40 fps and lose my movements for a bit counting missed boxes also if i clearly cut them. My question is: how to record my session without asking too much to my pc to avoid framerates drops? have i to use a capture card? have i to buy a different cam? or use a hdmi cam with an usb capture card? if that, is there someone who knows the differences between ELGATO hdmi to usb capture card and the cheapers others? or more i'm watching to the wrong solutions and my problem is somewhere else? @TenderSausage LIV support has sent me some info to follow...the problem was that i used to record in mp4 directly. They suggested to try with NCVsomething wich make working the NVIDIA GPUs instead of pc’s CPU. It works greatly ....Anyway many many thanks for your availability to help me, really appreciated

@Assamestar I've read over the log and see a couple things to change, but if you could elaborate on "Just stopped working", that would be helpful. 1. Update Windows to 21H1. 2. Run OBS as an Administrator. 3. There is an issue with the M9 Pro camera. I suspect drivers. I'd remove this device while troubleshooting. 4. You're recording to MP4 still. I'd recommend using MKV and muxing to MP4 when you're done.
@TenderSausage 1. don't know why but 20H1 is the latest i can upgrade to! unexplicable! 2. done 3. this is the camera i use to do the mixed reality, if i remove it, i can't go ahead...this is why i asked if there was betters ways to use cameras instead of an usb cam 4. i was thinking about it... i'll do as soon as i find a good and free muxer app Thanks and thanks again for your help. Hello, so I have a really odd request for streaming. So I'm actually mute so I have the very ambitious goal of being able to stream while mute using a text to speech device. My biggest thing is if there is a program or app or something I can use to type and play the audio outloud without too much work. I hope that's something you guys might know about
@TenderSausage Hello, do you remember i said my pc won't go over 80mhz on valve index or it start to lag?

i had a 750w PSU, today i read that someone with similar pc suggest to use minimum 850w PSU.
5:14 PM
He said that he recognize the problem when he heard a sound like little electrical buzz from PSU only when activating steamVR, then...when he turned to a 850w PSU, the "buzz" never appears again and SteamVR begin to run at 144hz at max detail in games without struggeling...
5:15 PM
what do you thing about it? maybe it could be the same issue i have? do you suggest to change PSU in a system like mine?
