You can always try things out, but don't over-stretch what you do just because you can do it, instead of focusing on what you can do best with higher quality
I want to stream on YouTube and twitch because on YouTube no one follows my twitch and i will try to stream on both and if it won't work I'll stick to twitch
Hi wondering if you have any advise I’m trying to hit level up on Facebook gaming and my views are good but I’m just not getting followers I have a reach of nearly 3k
How does Facebook reach work? Like if they put it in a page is that considered an impression even tho the person may not have even seen it in their feed?
I’m a streamer and as a women the comments about my body goes to far ( for reference I’m a chubby woman so it’s not nice comments) I wish people would watch for the skill not for my boobs
Original message was deleted or could not be loaded.
I mean that’s a little bit rude considering you don’t know what I look like however I actually really enjoy gaming and despite being female some respect for skill level from people watching my streams is not too far fetched to hope for

I’ve profited from my looks in another line of work I just don’t bring that line of work into my streams and yes I would have a problem with it because it sexualisation of women based on looks it’s messed up
4:13 PM
It’s why I don’t use any image of my face on branding or my profile picture
4:20 PM
At what point did i complain dude i also made no comment of race or a patriarchal comment the original conversation was regarding how all streamers no sex mentioned earn more if they’re hot that was it you’ve blown a harmless comment out of proportion dude get off your high horse
4:22 PM
Dude I mentioned boobs seriously because I dared to make a comment you’ve started this and shown your true colours
4:23 PM
I’m not even gonna continue I’m not gonna have my character called into question f that we all start out somewhere and you’ve just proven here is not the connections I want thank you everyone else for allowing me to join anyway
Yea unfortunately with the new work schedule I only get phone access on my break and then of course once I’m off. Usually I talk to the fiancé during the break tho, but if I have an @ I’ll always hop over. Just a bummer that people decide to go that way and get people to leave.
Hey guys, not sure where to ask this but I want to stream and downloaded Twitch studio, but when I do stream it's extremely choppy even with changing the quality and bitrate of it. I don't see as to why I am having issues, as my specs are gpu: rtx 2060, cpu: ryzen 7 2700x and 16gb of RAM. Internet speeds are download: 950Mbps and upload: 200Mbps. Any help?

So, about your original message, you definitely should not care about whatever your viewers have to say about your body. More than half of the content of each channel is the streamer (character, personality, opinions, topics you like to discuss and how you approach them). It's about you interacting with your viewers in your own way, and they appreciating what you do, forming the connection that will make them accompany you in your journey. This is the fundamental part of developing your own brand as a streamer. They may find the same game, gear, entertainment, cool overlays everywhere else on Twitch, except for you. But if they don't like you, the streamer who's creating the content for your own channel, they always have the opportunity to be reasonable, say hello (or not) and look for content that better fits their tastes. Or they can choose to be assholes and try to harass you. Which you should respond with a ban, and move on with your life.
4:15 PM
Your body is your own to care and to make your own choices on what to do with it. Unless they are paying all your bills, they have no say in your life.

Only thing I would say about your body is don't do crack lol

And avoid bungie jumping without the safety rope

Always wear seat belts

Honestly I was a cam model in a former life streaming is not new to me game streaming and starting from scratch is I don’t even think about it anymore when someone comments on my body or style it’s just how it is that’s why I’m the convo with him I said I’ve profited from my looks before and it’s not for me anymore I really enjoy game streaming because I’m the most relaxed when talking to other people and yeah I’ve heard crack is moreish hahaha
Some of the biggest vtubers used to be cam girls, making the switch is perfectly viable and no one deserves to be purely sexualised, maybe thats just my ace viewpoint but I wasn't considered attractive until puberty stuck two lumps on my chest and that was awful, we're more than whats on the outside ❤️
Honestly I just wasn’t condoning him sexualising women for the sake of it if he’d said what he said in person it would have been deemed sexual harassment and I’d hate for someone not as strong willed as me to be broken because of people like him

Anyway peeps on a much lighter note how has your day been?
Cleaning the oven calls for a celebration in my house I bought the new farcry so just getting my bearings and grabbing a takeaway with the hubby in a little bit x
Ahaha I'm cheating with this spray on cleaner stuff that just needs to sit for an hour then I scrub XD Hope the new farcry is good, I enjoyed watching someone play the last one :3
I'm in Sweden unfortunately and have to trust my housemate because I can't read the instructions XD I learned that oven is Ung though so thats something
Well actually its just an overlay border on top of your desktop. See 'CRT Screen' project. You can add a transparent border to your desktop, making it look either like- a crt screen (ie glass like...
You could run a source that renders from After Effects in realtime
4:32 PM
I'm considering that myself, but the logistics are kind of nuts. I might have to incorporate a separate render machine for AE-driven scenes (which would make my rig a 3-PC setup)
4:34 PM
If you just want an overlay, the link you provided has the downloads. They could be edited to just be an overlay image that you can apply to any source that you want, but if you want it to be dynamic/animated, you'll need something like AE.
Thank you very much for all of your answers. I'm very inexperienced, but trying my best. Do you mind if I show you what I'm thinking, and you could tell me "Okay you need the serious setup" or "Just use the overlay."?
So are you just looking for alternate layouts? It seems like you have everything implemented right now. Maybe you can help me understand what's missing?
In OBS Studio we have the ability to add filters to our Sources, Scenes and even our Audio Devices. The following filters are available in OBS Studio 23.0.0: * [Scene and Source …
10:45 PM
It's very simple. There are a number of LUT packs for free. Just pick a file, hit apply, and see if you like it. Then you can turn it on and off as you see fit.
You may need to create an alpha mask to put over the top of the source, and you could use another mask to create the rounded edges and add a slight vignette to it to give it the retro look.
Do any of you use stream labs if so is it worth paying for prime I feel like my stream is boring but I’m not the most techy and have no idea where to start
The bots to add things are normally free I think? I've seen all sorts from an emote wall that makes emotes people post in chat float across your screen, to a bot that makes pokemon appear in your chat that people can catch There's plenty of free ways to spice up your stream from what I've seen
Prime has some really cool tools, but it also depends on the amount of time utilizing them and the reach. like waiting until X viewers to add Y things too the stream could help you snowball more. Taking the time to focus on content before adding the helpful flare. I add prime and its tools on big months like March
i have tried streaming before but when i try to stream the game i am currently playing lags or has lag spikes is this to do with my internet not being able to keep up or something else i get about 25 mbs when im not streaming?
@AxieIRIS I looked into the CRT project you sent over and it is something that would have to be re-written in a way that it could be leveraged in OBS, probably in Lua or something. This specific one is written for Godot. The alternative would be to write an app in Godot that would take control of an input device, apply the effect, and then pass it on as a virtual input to OBS. Those are two ways I can think of making that happen.
Use the Godot Engine editor directly in your web browser, without having to install anything.

Thank you so much for your answer. I will take a loot at it, but I guess I will need to hire a freelancer web developer to try it, because I don't have the knowledge to make it work.
Just a heads up..not gonna post a link , but Microsoft sending out give cards up to $100. Google it for yourself to check out. Just don’t want anyone to trash there email inbox without looking.

Near the launch of SLOBS, @streamlabs reached out to us about using the OBS name. We kindly asked them not to. They did so anyway and followed up by filing a trademark We’ve tried to sort this out in private and they have been uncooperative at every turn https://t.co/r1eXr3VxcJ
I feel a bit stupid after reading that, I'm quite involved in software in general and I have to be honest I totally assumed that Streamlabs OBS was the commercial version of OBS in an attempt to monitise/support the open source project.

SLOBS has so many good plug ins and features, but at the cost of them being scummy. It’s kind of a “I like the product but hate the owner” thing. Like Harry Potter.
It’s more than that, though. Every optimization and new core feature are given to SLOBS to profit off of by people working for free on OBS. Plug-ins that we’re written, for free, re-written and obfuscated into SLOBS with no credit to the original author or anything. Literally stealing an entire website from a competition to make sure your branding is competitive? It’s more than scummy. It’s exploitation. It should be illegal.
3:56 PM
Streamlabs doesn’t deserve the money. They didn’t make anything new, just assembled it inside a fancy shell.
3:57 PM
But this kind of thing has been happening for decades. Red Hat vs. Linux, etc.
On a side note... My review of throwing up: 0/10, would not recommend.

I don’t doubt they are available elsewhere but the ease of them being right there I mean. Like want a linktree, it’s on the dashboard, it makes you a website, it’s a merch store, it has auto reminders for hydrates and fun stuff, built in timers and alerts and all that. It’s easy. Just a plus sign and boop it’s there. OBS is better, but it requires more work. Even if that work is just looking it up in a forum or a tutorial, it is still more than a little drop down add to menu. I use OBS for YouTube stuff tho. Then again my point is moot since I haven’t even streamed in a month
10:22 PM
Oh and the auto sponsors is cool, I got 400 bucks from raid shadow legends from using SLOBS

It doesnt really help you in the long run either, I see people with thousands of follows but only a few viewers per stream and it does impact a person's initial opinion of your channel
How are you gonna measure your actual growth if you get follows of people who are just helping you get to a higher number? How accurate would your results be, comparing the number of viewers you have to the number of new followers you get on a certain time-frame, if some of them aren't actually watching the content that you create?
6:50 PM
How would you be able to improve if you turn one of the numbers that represent your success of your work as someone that creates digital entertainment into 'just a big number'?
6:54 PM
I'd say anyone would be better of trying to raise their numbers on their own on Twitch (even though it has all these fucked up barriers to newcomers) and improving their skills, and subsequently quality of their content, to a point where the audience you are aiming for will connect with what you do. You are free to take the easy way, but I don't know of a single good streamer that has succeeded this way.
Its certainly been hard for those of us who happened to move just before the pandemic, fingers crossed you can meet people soon ❤️ (I'm just glad the internet exists)
It's definitely not the same but could always share some favorite recipes with long distance friends or try some new ones at the same time to do a "virtual" friendsgiving
8:53 PM
Hopefully it will be easier to meet people in 2022
Really? I find there software clunky and there discord extremely non helpful. But they work for free, Streamlabs has a paid staff and doesn’t rely on bots. I asked a question in OBS one time and they said “We don’t 1v1 support or private support”
Streamlabs literally takes the open-source code from OBS Studio, strips plugin functionality out of it and adds their "apps" with a pricetag. Plus ripping off ideas from their competitors... And even their website (as what happened with Lightstream, which started the whole bashing against them).
11:55 PM
Using someone else's branding and trademarking it makes it obviously clear that this isn't a company that should be supported by anyone, much less in the streaming community. https://twitter.com/OBSProject/status/1460782968633499651(edited)

Morning all how we all today I took Mrs Ginger and kids out to get some new Christmas decorations this morning to finish off with a cafe breakfast loved every bit of it
Just got done draining a hot tub. All was well until the last thing needed to go to the garage and of course I hurt my back. Other than that, its a great Sunday
Who moves in to take that spot? I think most of his viewers will just divide up between the likes of Mizkif and Hasan. I dont know who breaks into that spot. The person with the biggest potential is Atrioc maybe, Im surprised he doesnt have more viewers already
Everyone things going to YouTube is the next "big move" the thing is Twitch doesn't need to respond yet. Twitch has never not been in first place for streaming platforms. Being in first place for a long time makes you fat and lazy. You want competition because it makes you strive to be different and better
Most advice videos I've watched have said you're better off 'diversifying your portfolio' - do something on all the platforms and you're much safer than trusting one platform (especially those that have shown they dont care about their creators)
I have a page for system stats coming from HW Monitor to see live performance graphs, and a few other functional shortcuts, like having windows open and move to the correct positions on my screens.
So this V8 soundboard is not what I thought it would be. Was hoping for a place I can press buttons and play programmable sounds during a stream for intended effects (audio and perhaps visual). What is this thing good for?
The biggest issue was hoping to use my chrome book, because it’s more reliable and powerful than my older laptop, but that turned out to be a dead end.
