Hey guys, I want to stream from my ps4. I know how to stream from my pc and I know you can stream from the ps4 but how do I stream from my ps4 and still have my webcam and use obs?

1: for camera, you need a ps4 camera, and it will auto connect to the cam, and show the feed on the side. 2: to stream, start any game (streams will stop if you change the game or close application) hit the share button, go down to broadcast. You’ll have to link your twitch to your psn, but after, it will simply be just stream naming and then broadcast starting. After that, most everything is done for you. Ps4 streaming is super simple

Yo, is there any reason not to stream while gaming? I don't really plan on trying to get big or anything, just wondering if it takes away from the gaming experience usually.

@Aurora The Fox in all honesty, the yeti is fairly heavy and youll probably spend more on the mic arm than you did on the yeti. If you go cheap, there's a good chance the arm won't be able to support the mic

I'm looking for a second display. The must-haves are small and light. Something I can leave suspended on the wall at my desk. The nice-to-haves would be wireless connectivity, if that's a thing. Latency and quality are not priorities for this. I don't have a lot of space and wires = clutter. I'm open minded though, so I won't die for a wireless display. Any pointers in any directions?

Hey, I've been streaming for almost a year now with not very much growth. (But that doesn't matter) I came here to ask if i "Have the right voice" for streaming. I have a slight lisp and i can feel quite self conscious to the point where i sometimes try to not say words that include "S" in them. (IK sad right). I was browsing for ways to promote my stream and came across this on reddit. Im going to try and attempt a 24 hours stream this weekend on saturday on mixer, twitch, facebook and YouTube. I started streaming on Twitch 2 years ago when I was 12 not knowing that Twitch is from 13. I'm 14 now and I'm asking if I should switch to Mixer or if i'll be fine on Twitch?

@Slenky Twitch still has a strong user base but discoverability is basically none existent on twitch, but that’s not saying it won’t happen. i stopped streaming for 2 years, and then went live about a month ago and have gotten affiliate. don’t get your hopes down, it can happen!

Mixer is very cliquey. I was apart of a squad tli was getting a lot of views but since the squad disbanded it harder to get views

@Jeevan Sascha you have a mid range computer. Like everything is mid range. There isn't just one part on the PC you need to upgrade. Both the GPU and CPU you have now compliment each other perfectly. If you get a new GPU, you need a new CPU too and if you get a new CPU you need a new GPU.

Your storage and ram will make minimal improvements to your overall performance and should be looked at once you upgrade the two main pieces in your system; cpu and gpu.

@Jeevan Sascha Your cpu is the only thing that needs an upgrade. Do you know what generation your processor is? Your gpu will have no issue's playing r6 but if your playing a open world game or just a really big r6 map: Then your gpu memory is the issue. That can only be fixed by an upgrade of the card. Or overclocking the memory(that can help somewhat)

I’m running a gtx 1070 with a Ryzen 5 2600 along with 16gb of ram. Is that gonna be enough for streaming off hardware? Also is it worth going for a very low end streaming pc to help in general or no? Hmm, potentially I need to tighten up/clarify where is best to post. Networking was intended to be discussion over posts, with promotions being where you can paste your stream, but I've not really specified that so it's my own fault.

The second part is more so that with networking we can also get together in person and go over stuff at times. I was in a minimalist group for instance for a time and we would meet up at a common location in public and go over stuff

Ha, you and me both. I've tried to encourage more conversation, but I want to remain hands off as much as possible. It's difficult to get across the message that talking to people is likely going to help you more than posting links, without banning it outright.

I understand that. Is there a rules section I missed on the discord? Also how often do the chat channels get used on here? I do like all the helpful comments the fellow streamers throw out when someone has a tech issue, but I would love to see the conversation like you mention too. I see the word community used a lot, but I don't see it put forth much lol. All of this I almost passed on saying, but decided why not take a shot in the dark and see if we can get some talking in here. Anyways would love to help where I can, and to see your discord do awesome.

It seems like for a lot of people we get lost in the landslide lol Every game has so many streamers even the odd ball ones. Hobby makes it a lot more relaxed I feel. I saw that reddit post yesterday of someone who took a small break and they sounded so hard on themselves

Nice, I like that there are viewers in every game still. As a community I think gamers are diehards for what they like. I do magic every morning and variety at night. The variety gets hit or miss, but I’m already there enjoying myself anyways. Plus I keep reading that twitch is not a good platform to gain reach anyways you have to double up into different areas to get yourself out there
