We (the mods) were discussing a few things from our end, with the goal of improving our community, turning it from a "place for support and/or self-promoting" into a more dynamic place that would allow us all to focus on more interesting activities: • Making a census of the community, so that we can have more data about who is part of our community, where are we from, how are we growing, whatworks and what doesn't... • Remaking our pinned posts on the subreddit, to improve interaction: Instead of permanent posts, we make automod run a new post a day, each with a different topic; • Diminishing focus on 'self-promotion', since it doesn't help anyone grow their viewerbase these days. We'll not outright remove the #old🔴streams, #contests, #software, #💾│software-development, #development, #tutorials, #podcasts, #clips-and-vods, #vlogs and any other channels used to promote things, but as you can see on this list alone, you can already see a lot of redundancy in those channels. And many people ignoring the rules and blatantly self-promoting everywhere, so it's not working as it is right now. • Creating our own initiatives to provide the community with more (useful) information regarding content creation on all areas.
