If you ever need a quick mobile webcam for a short period of time, the NDI HX Webcam app is a really good low-latency option. I use it with my iPhone 11. It's a paid app, but I like it a lot because of how easy it is to set up in OBS/SLOBS as an NDI source.

Streaming is always something I’ve wanted to try doing and I’ve gotten really discouraged lately while trying to get into it. In my discord with my friends, practically every night is a stream night but just within our discord. We’ll all hop in voice, shoot the shit, and have fun. You don’t always get that with twitch

And since all my friends are used to that kind of group activity not a lot of them are interested in coming into a twitch stream to have one person talking largely to themself

I guess i always look at people who are like vtubers and realize a lot of them must have been very lucky but I think about how many peoples lives they’ve touched with their entertainment and made people feel less alone and that’s really something I want to be able to accomplish too, whether it’s realistic or not

Vtubing is a whole different ballgame, IMO. You need to have a giant personality and keep that on point every single day

Look up sound, lights and camera tutorials/reviews, to start planning out how you'll use your budget, instead of waiting for someone to point "get this gear" (which will probably NOT be what you'll end up needing - wasting money that could be better invested in other things, for better results and higher overall quality)

I personally couldn't give you any useful specific suggestions regarding gear recommendations due to not working exclusively with video editing, living in a different continent, etc, etc. But try to get the info you have available to figure out what kind of gear you'll need, starting with the minimum requirements.

Basic light setup would be a key light for the subject, a general light source for the filming enviroment and additional lights depending on the specific needs and goals of this project

For the camera, why would you need 3 of them? Simultaneous recording for editing? If that's the reason, you'll probably need more light sources (you have to figure out this part, again, depending on your objectives)

Also, why do you need a laptop, and not a PC? Is that the machine that'll be in charge of streaming? Will you be needing to move the filming location around a lot?

For the sound, what kind of mic setup do you have in mind? I don't understand a lot about audio, but quality is a must at any level, and kind of livestream, so decide the layout for the filming area, positioning of the subjects, etc. That will probably have a huge impact in choosing the best mic for your needs (edited)

It does add preroll ads but that is the only possible stunt area And you can “turn them off” by running an add if it drives you crazy

What do you stream on? Usually when you get botted you just report it to twitch and they remove people. That sucks tho amigo :/ that is a huge bot spike.

To me, it sounds like you are looking for some kind of RTMP server, like Unreal Media Server or MistServer.

Nowadays when something like that happens, the botted followers basically unfollow you after some time. But best thing to do is just to open a support ticket and ask for them to be deleted.

@EskimoKi What I've learned is that collabs are a great opportunity to cross-pollinate audiences, but you need to be careful about jumping into a collab too quickly. It's a relationship, so start small and have conversations first to see if you are compatible. I've made the mistake of opening up my stream to the wrong people and ended up having to mediate real verbal conflict live on stream, and that's not a good look for a casual, upbeat game stream. We had a small tornado in my city back in 2011, but it never touched the ground, happened just over one the beach. Besides that, the worst weather I can remember was back in 2015, 5 days of extreme heat followed by 2 days of heavy rain. On the last day before the rain I saw a thermometer hit 42°c around 8 in the morning.

When the rain came, on a friday early night, you could feel the heat coming off the ground, before the air eventually cooled down.

We had icepocalypse mid-February. We didn't get hit as bad as Texas did but we got hit with more ice then snow causing power to be out till the 26th of February. One of the guys who came in to help the state said this was one of the worst aftermath he's ever seen and he's been sent to help after tornados and hurricanes

Up in Oregon, it was cold and icy and we had widespread power outages for about a day, but we got lucky and only a small number of people were without power for more than three days. I can't imagine the damage in Texas or how long it will take to fully revamp their infrastructure.
