I've posted this in the promotions tab but wanted to get more involved that might not check #old🔴streams I'm just wondering has anyone else been black screened after a Warzone victory and not gotten credit for the win? This is the most recent where I was dead and spectating, I've had it happen after I killed the last player also. In the past two weeks there has been a total of six I haven't gotten credit for. 2 on rebirth island, 2 on mini royale and this one plus another on warzone. Well, you could say that most people in here (at least amongst the active members of the server) don't actively "look" for streamers to watch, since this same group are composed of people who are primarily streamers. People tend to drop by on other people's stream to network, know each other and have a good time when they aren't working on their own content. But you raised a point that many beginners ask themselves, and the answer is 99% of the time a good exchange of the viewer's time for "quality". To define what that means, is the sum of many aspects: • How much time did you spent learning about the technical aspects of streaming? • How much impact does the way you produce and present your content has to your viewers (long time, or someone that just dropped by)? • How good is your hardware for streaming? And do you know how to use the hardware/software you already have before you buy something else? I'd say, do a lot of research, whenever you can. You can only improve, and that will turn out into 'quality' on your stream.

Its also worth noticing that I'd probably be using a mobile hotspot as my wifi and that I don't have that good of a setup. A laptop, a console, a headset and I'm looking at capture cards

Platform doesn't matter that much in growth or content that you want to stream, but you'll be better off choosing one after comparing their features. There is a good amount of youtube videos and articles comparing YouTube, Twitch, Trovo, Facebook... Do some research around, and you'll find one that better complements your needs

the process is more or less the same, someone else correct me if i'm wrong though. the capture care (iirc) plugs into the console's hdmi output and transmits the video to your laptop via usb (i think it's usb)

I started a stream and and the title was wrong and it wouldn't let me change on-stream so I shut down the stream in order to change it and then started streaming again. Stream worked just fine and after I end my stream, which was almost 6 hours long, I looked at my VODs and it showed a 3 min stream? Any idea why?

Use the #old🔴streams channel. Also, scroll up a bit for some tips, that me and other gave away here in the last few days.

If Im using a capture card from a nintendo switch, How will i actually be able to see what im playing?

since they only have 1 hdmi

You use an HDMI splitter, to get one cable to your TV, and another to your capture card, to your PC

Mine routes to my PC and my tv. It had an hdmi from the switch to the card, then a USB to the pc and hdmi to send elsewhere. On Streamlabs it can find the game due to the USB and then I can see thr hdmi output on my tv

I think that stream went well. Got to show off the new overlays and alerts.

Had a crazy idea for an overly complicated facecam setup, and made it for a client

Using OBS to mask the edges, StreamFX to blur the bottom of the camera, StreamElements to create the widget.

I'm thinking of making tutorials in portuguese for these things. This kind of content is easily accessible for english speakers (through channels like Gaming Careers, Alpha Gaming, Nutty, Gael Level...), but at least in portuguese, I haven't seen a single person creating content like this. Follow for follow is the reason people don't grow, it's just one more thing making things harder on themselves. Doing this you can easily reach 50 followers, and would just have to open a few instances on Twitch (getting a friend to help you, opening your stream on your phone, whatever), you'd easily reach the average of 3 viewers per stream. And then, what? Who's gonna watch you, if all you did was try to bypass the system to get a title? Why would a new viewer have any reason to use the monetization features that you just unlocked, if you just spent your time grinding the required hours to reach this "goal"? Being affiliate doesn't even help you get more visibility on Twitch, neither it's good enough to brag about it, if you wanna take an easy way there. Also, the platform doesn't care about you, new streamer, affiliate or partner - you should define your own labels and goals, not the platform. Instead, I'd highly recommend that a new streamer spent their time doing research on how to improve your content, and how to better deliver it. If you can't produce quality content, then reaching any of the platform's goals would be pointless.

If you’ve never seen any of Devin Nash streams or YouTube videos I recommend checking him out he has quite a bit of content on what you’re saying but you’re absolutely right I was just 5 followers away from affiliate ( which I’m honestly on the fence about even doing) and figured a follow for a follow would a quick way to get there I don’t want thousand of viewers I feel like 20-30 would be perfect for me considering I work so much but I average around 4-5 at the moment check out my streams and see if it’s something you’d be interested in! Also thank you for the advice I appreciate it forreal!

welcome to streaming - I will say the camera was pretty big on the stream tho. Not sure if that was personal preference or just the easiest way to get start? As you learn feel free to ask questions and stuff when you are curious and keep the promotions in the that channel
