@Shanecus Sure thing. I didn't ping back when I posted about my stream because I was also worried it would be against the rules, but once the other mod did it I figured it would be okay
You are good, I saw that was a charity one anyways. With such a large amount of users in here I am sure the @ everyone was tempting to that person. The group shut it down fairly fast tho lol. Glad to see people putting charity first.
We just finished discussing this actually. There is a new role that will be assigned to people that I’ve given permission to, and it comes with that ping permission. That way only that channel can have the everyone @‘s, and you just have the role assigned to you in order to use that @
When it's dried. I didn't bleach my hair, just found the tube haha. First time doing it myself too, so it probably didn't stick well. But photos are coming up!

Hello all, I'm doing a survey about Esports Streams, for the purpose of research for part of my thesis dissertation for my master in management, and could really use your help with answers :) https://forms.gle/A5xequUhb6Dww12Y9(edited)
This survey serves the purpose of research for part of my thesis dissertation for the Master in Management at ISCTE Business School. The thesis aims to take a step further into understanding how experience, involvement and online engagement connect with watching esports stream...
Hey @FrancoSinatra I believe you've requested this already, and repeating it and pinging everyone isn't the way forward. So don't do that please. You might have better luck posting it on https://www.reddit.com/r/streaming/ but don't do it repeatedly please.
Hi all, I'm looking for some quick responses (10 questions) in regards to prep you do before gaming and before streaming. You can find the survey here: https://forms.gle/qLk2C4Zc11q7k2EG8 Thanks in advance!
Sounds like a jet engine is pretty much how I roll whenever I stream. That’s what I get for gaming/streaming on an old laptop not designed for gaming because I can’t afford a new computer. Lol.
welp it seem I'm going to be unemployed for another month at least, it seem the company I'm working with are in deep shit and can't pay us, well at least I'm going to be free for while(edited)
If there's anyone from Lebanon on the server, can you tell us what's going on right now, regarding the massive explosion that happened today? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=93tV6-0Ugwk
I'll look online @Zeek@James! Apparently you can get it at Sheetz on the West coast, but we don't have that convenience store near me. I review all the new candies in America each week so I need these chocolate popcorn m&ms! lol
Does anyone know a good free program to make logos for a channel feel free to private message me if you do i may not be able to look back at this for a bit about to go to work
Hi guys! I make food and teach cooking skills on my twitch channel, but here's a little one off that I didnt know where else to put. Tell me what you think! Roasted Adobo Chicken Breast Street Tacos with Serrano Pepper Sauce
Weekend has been nice. Went up to CT with the girlfriend, weather was great. Still have a week before I start my next job so hopefully getting some streaming in
@michalightning (she/her) cereal is a cereal. Its a specific subset of food. Oats are also classified as a cereal, as well as grits. The differences between a soup and a cereal are the contents of the dish. A grain focused conglomerate is classified as a cereal if it as liquid suspension or semisolid, whereas other foodstuffs would fall under the categories of stew and soups.

Soups can be cold or hot, sweet or savory! Pastas are put in soups as well which are grains. Cereal is seeming to be a soup! @Misio@untitledcookingkitchen
@michalightning (she/her) A soup features a broth, which is a seasoned base that combines meats or vegetables together into a flavored compound. Cereals do not use broths, instead they have a different array of spices and bases.
As basil pesto grows older, it deepens in flavor as the olive oil is infused with the ingredients. This specific pesto has been melding for two weeks now, and has an excellent flavor.
Ah got it. The olive oil part was what I was curious about. I always ask what the goal of the age is. The steak places that do it got me on a curiosity kick
I'm over the moon! Reached 50 followers! Just a step on the right track, I know, but really made me smile after a very tough week! Thanks to everyone that has helped me reach this goal. You are all the best!
Today I did a charity stream for Extra Life. I am a very small streamer (133 followers AFTER this stream). We had SUCH an amazing show from the community and my community was SO amazing and met and surpassed my $100 goal. I did this stream for 100 followers and I will do another one for 200 followers with a goal of $200! It just amazes me how a community can come together and do something truly good. I just wanted to share this for anyone who wants to do a charity stream but thinks they’re too small - because I did too.
As far as webcams go, there are plenty worse than the c922 Pro Stream, but there are a few notably better ones as well depending on your needs and budget.

With the Snowball, it's okay for a budget mic. There are others at the same price point, and all of them sound about the same, which is a little better than a headset mic.
1:32 AM
Just over the $120 price point, there start to be a number of better options, and then above $250 things start getting more than good.
There are some factors, like the room and ambient noises, but it will sound best the closer you can get it to your face.

If that means adding a boom stand, you might want to consider one of those.(edited)

Let me tell ya, Dell is not the move to order from at the moment. I ordered the Aurora R10, with specific part selection. I ordered it on the 29th of Jan. Today (the day it was supposed to be shipped) I was told it wouldn’t arrive until the 29th of March instead the 24th of Feb. So let’s just say, that order was cancelled
You could try NZXT, looks like they ship within 2 weeks

I was looking at the Alienware Aurora, update on that situation. I was looking online and found pretty much the same specs I had. The Best Buy had it for curbside pickup. I bought it and I have it today. No hassle and only took a 15min drive. His name is Cecil (friend named him)

I wouldn't add third party, because there is just straight up old trash from like MadCats and Power A that would win just because they don't even function

which do you guys think is better for streaming? pc or laptop?
So "PC" means "personal computer"... so... you're technically asking "which is better: a PC or a PC". I think you're asking whether a desktop is better than a laptop. A desktop is better than a laptop for streaming.
would anyone be able to help me with some audio/mic questions? I'm only looking to stream with a few friends and am looking to replace my old and dying hyperX headset with headphones + stand alone mic combo
Hello, streamers and fans! I am helping to design an app that will help increase streaming engagement and experiences. If you have five minutes, please fill out this anonymous survey to help us understand problems you face, so I can tackle the issues head on as we develop the app. Feel free to share the link - the more feedback, the more we can design with you in mind! https://forms.gle/mt69RrXrRDzaiB6W9 Thanks in advance - oh and feel free to leave your email if you want to be considered to be one of the first to try the app out.
We would love to hear your thoughts and experiences regarding streaming and engagement. This information will help us as we start the development process for an app we are designing. Please help us by filling in a few (totally anonymous) questions!
I'm looking for some recommendations of horror/scary worlds to play on VRChat. 1 to 4 players. Preferably some good jump scare ones. Feel free to ping me or DM with names of worlds or links! I intend to play these for stream. Let me know of your faves :)
I'm looking to replace my Xbox One Winter Forces controller because it has unbearable random drift on the right thumbstick. I'm looking for the best modern Xbox-style controller, based on use real user feedback from hours played. Don't send me to links to articles or videos; I've already read about 100 of those (unless it's actually your video, then do it). I'm looking for YOUR opinions.(edited)
The fiance enjoys the newer model pro controller and has had it since launch no issues. Two friends got it and complain on drift, but are aggressive shooter players and I haven't seen the controller of theirs first hand xD (if that makes sense) I use the series x version controller and it also has worked great the whole time. Plus any of them can be plugged in with a USBC so that is nice.
@KitFister I’ll have to check it out eventually then :p And how could they miss the name when he was the best fish man Jedi around xD Didn’t get much screen time tho sadly and his DLC on Star Wars Battlefront 2 was out way later than the game. I nerd out on Star Wars tho so apologies lol
4:12 PM
@MaverickBlvck nothing wrong with having people from a multitude of communities like you were saying. It does take a bit longer to grow that way of course, but if the content is strong it will last through multiple genres. I go through two games a week myself and the people that come in and stay through them are there for the community over the game normally
Started that as a community thing two weeks ago. Playing it no monthly u til it’s “beaten” lots of fun so far. Need to fight that first boss tonight lol
@Shanecus he's an excellent Jedi! I used to grind all the battlefront games, love them all also nerd out for star wars. Actually wearing a boba fett shirt today lolol
I was just saying to Maverick tho the game to stream should be the one you could play for the next year and still enjoy xD

I defeated all but the last boss, but I'm in no rush to find the shrine, I'm just enjoying my time building and farming
4:33 PM
Had a few friends that tried to fight one boss after the other, then got mad when they got sent back to the literal stone age for not preparing themselves
Yea, I missed classic survival build games a good amount. 90% of what I play is single player based so it is nice to just goof around with friends and enjoy a game world together.
They lost all their gear, boats and portals lol(edited)

I'm using mods on my game to increase the amount of things I can do (new boats, tameable horses, enchanted items, mineshafts, new build pieces, CHICKENS...)
If you can make something entertaining to you, then you can make it entertaining for others. That’s the way I go about it. When making content focus on what you would enjoy and that will help you find the people that your community can grow around
4:48 PM
Yea Valheim looks like it will be a fun one for a good while. Although I have died to trees falling on me twice now lol
I love Valheim, but I got to the 5th (current final?) boss and fully prepped, read up on tactics and thought I was ready I didnt see a mosquito come flying in and take out the last of my health when I had retreated to heal I tried a few runs back but kept dying, the current end area is brutal
@Sir_Mastas The best thing for that is consistency and reaching out to a few IRL friends if you can. Once you hit that minimum cap a lot of the AVG stress goes away. Of course focusing on content is the number one thing, but I feel that goes without saying lol. I saw you have June 5th as your next stream date so you already are working on that schedule. The only other thing I would say went starting out is don't over if trying for averages. A lot of people stream non stop to try and get people and you may have an hour with ten viewers but had seven more hours with one and then the average barely moves and can be demoralizing. Of course messsage with any questions and the such

Nice, it played good in the jeep so 10 points and a like on Spotify lol. Has a lot of changes to it but the back and forth on the acoustic to heavy is always a hit to me.

Yea Texas in the past few years has really shown how poorly they can manage infrastructure Had a few friends go through that really bad winter with all the crashes and no heat or water and have family there now saying they sometimes just cut the power for an hour It "seems" like a black out but it is always for almost exactly an hour. Give or take a few mins.
Yea, crazy thing about that is how fast out of country news dries up here. Like you have to scroll a bit now to get news on Ukraine and the energy crisis going on over there with you guys. Crazy times still lol. 2020 is just continuing it's rampage all the way thru the decade
Lol I would agree. This year has been a wild ride. Currently on meds for “long covid” since the muscles around my lungs are swollen. Bright side got married this year. Ups and downs xD

Interesting questions that have already had done thought. @Shanecus definitely don’t want to bounce between too many different games I know that much. Presently only one stream a week but I’m looking at where I could potentially fit another one in during the week.
For sure, with life and everything streams can be tricky. Two a week is a good strong start for sure! Even one a week as you learn what you like doing and stuff is good.
One thing I am looking at is Webcams and haven’t been quite sure which one would be best to go for given that I’m streaming on Xbox at the moment. Last thing I want to be doing is winding up paying for something that isn’t compatible with the console

For sure amigo, and on the Xbox stuff I just used the cheapest one from Best Buy and it works well. Worked on the Xbox too. But it does only allow you to put it in certain places like the corners. PS4 uses a proprietary camera but the Xbox doesn’t.

we would like to find streamers to stream our new game before it hits early access in Nov. We don't want to piss anyone off, what would be the best channel to ask in? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sejvflKWG6Y
Do you stream for the broader English-speaking audience? If not, it may be a more effective to do some networking with people from your own country with the common goal of getting a relevant charity approved. But in my opinion, unless Twitch has set any stupid rules against anyone organizing their own charity streams (haven't seen anything yet), you should do your own thing for your own viewers(edited)
12:36 PM
You could try reaching out directly to the NPO you want to help and ask for visual assets that would help you into making it official
@Ardeshir I would recommend adding your Uservoice link to a bot chat tag that you can use during your stream to spread the word and encourage your viewers to make an impact. That will likely have more effect than these messages. something like $impact or $vote and have that show the link. Twitch is not likely to pick up an obscure charity for a niche cause based on the Uservoice alone; They want to see content creator support first. So, like was recommended, see if you can network with some people to build awareness. This is a free activity so long as you have the time. None of us are "in great financial shape" right now, but charity work continues. The NPO suggestion was another example of something you can do, for free via email or phone, to get assets like logos and such to legitimize your stream and show that the org is supporting your efforts to support them. You may want to consider this if you are serious about pushing a charity. I'm not sure what being Aussie has to do with anything. You'll have to enlighten us if there's some kind of legislation or obstacle that prevents you from doing what you want to do. Charity streaming often involves some work to support a charity you care about. In the future, avoid using phrases like "not really interested in getting that involved sorry" in communities like ours where charity is a part of the value system. It seems disingenuous. What @Thercio offered as advice would be another more effective route to spread awareness than copypasta. Grass-roots marketing is still very effective, and doesn't take that much work.
Yeah doesnt seem like a big loss to the server, at least the rest of us appreciate you taking the time to talk it through - I learn a lot from other people asking questions in here XD
That should be the goal of anyone coming in here, anyways.

Content creation, streaming, v-tubing and digital creation in all it's aspects is an entirely new field. The first successful "modern" creators are reaching 10 years in their careers now, some are even retiring altogether after such a "short" time. We need a place like this to talk amongst ourselves about things we don't entirely understand, to be able to grow ourselves.(edited)

I am having a hard time deciding between the Cooler master 751s and the epos h6pros..does anyone have experience with both?

I'm looking for some advice for my son. He's getting into digital art, more specifically 2D illustration and animation. I've bought him a drawing tablet/pen, but I'm looking for a good software to get him into. He's 8 but exceptionally computer-savvy for his age, and I'd like to get him into a software he can use in the real world. I'm more of a UI/layout artist, so I live in Illustrator most of the time, and I don't know a whole lot about the hand-drawn digital art workflow.
I use Clip Studio and can recommend it, the vector layers are super useful especially when starting out and I believe the EX version has really good animation stuff(?) Though Photoshop After Effects is supposed to be better if you dont want frame-by-frame animation. (I know you said not photoshop but maybe one section of photoshop is an idea)

Gotcha, yeah I do frame-by-frame because I cant be bothered to get After Effects XD its fun though and does the job :3
