After watching some VODs and streams of folks here, I gotta give one big piece of advice I hope y'all take to heart: TALK! Talk talk Talk talk Talk talk Talk talk Talk talk and when you think you talked too much TALK MORE. Don't wait for chat to prompt, just talk about whatever! Talk about the game, your day, your cats, what your favorite type of cloud is, whatever.(edited)
I was actually thinking of someone else but I was gonna tell you to chat more too. You opened up when I started chatting but you can't wait for someone to open up the dialog.
Yea and if you have no cam. An old radio trick was have a photo of someone you know nearby. Just act like you are talking to them the whole time. It makes it feel personable

And yes good mic audio is the most important pop art of a stream
There is a streamer here that uses keyboard controller on everything and he has grown up to 20 viewers at times now. I think that would be fine as long as it is consistent and you have a good mic
2:43 PM
They play rocket league and shooters
2:43 PM
Well was here. They left the discord two months ago but I still have them on twitch lol
Ahhh I’ll keep that in mind. Ya I’ve seen a few people who are only showing their keyboard and have consistent viewers and I’ve even seen ppl with no cam with good 50-60 viewers so I guess it depends all on how we are as streamers
You don't need to "get ready" to show your face on stream. Forget about getting the lights/ looks/ the camera/ the time to stream right... there'll always be something that can be improved or that you think it's not perfect, and all the money that a streamer can throw at a problem can't help improve what they do with their hardware and software. Your viewers won't be concerned about the amount of gamma or contrast in your camera filter on OBS, they'll want to see you having a good time playing something you enjoy. It's ultimately about connecting with them (like having a positive attitude and frequently speaking what's on your mind, that can be easily conveyed with just your voice), not about you expecting them to expect that you look "good enough" for your stream.

Where are you from Mely? I'm guessing Aus or somewhere in Asia with a time difference like that!

Im not comfortable too. Hence i choose to be a vtuber once i get my new pc. It took quite a lot for me to even start streaming. Im so shy. But we should be proud that we actually started. That is a big achievement already. First step is always the hardest.. Keep trying and improving and we will get there. As long as we are not forcing ourselves to do something we do not want to. Hope i make sense hehe
Yes, what you said made sense. Thank you. You are so kind ️ and I 100% agree with what you said. It’ll take time to get to where we want to be but with time we will become more and more comfortable with streaming too. Good luck with your streaming!!

You totally made sense! Honestly Vtubing is a great way to go, you have a face to show the viewer but it doesn't have to be your face(edited)

That's exactly it! Once you took your first step, everything else gets easier with time! You'll find out that some "barriers" that you had only existed from your previous point of view (most times, due to a limited perspective), and you'll want to try to push past the next ones. Then you'll find a good comfort zone where you'll see what your current goals are, and keep growing your perspective from there!
I find Facerig interesting because I think it probably is a pretty good alternative for a face cam. I think it still shows general facial expressions, so people still get the nonverbal communication part I feel like is important when streaming.(edited)
Not that I'm aware of. I've never seen it do that.
5:39 PM
Might want to read some reviews of it or look though cause I'm not the best source of info in regards to that. I just find it interesting, I neither like nor dislike it, tbh.
The worst thing I've seen is the expressions just become less accurate.

But obviously it is a product that deserves to be paid for
8:06 PM
Well yeah I just mean if it was free then are all of a sudden like "nope"
8:08 PM
I don't mean anyone should be mad, cause yeah it's a product that needs to make a company money, but I guess it woulda made more sense to have it paid from the beginning
8:11 PM
So yeah my previous statement came out wrong, my apologies.
Hello everyone. I have a quite a silly question. What do u guys do when u stream and has 0 viewers? Do u still talk in stream? If u do, what do u guys talk about?

Well damn, apparently Persona 5 Strikers is a worthy Persona game and not just a cheap musou cash in. Gonna try and finish AC Valhalla ASAP so I can start that on release!
"Most of my time in Persona 5 Strikers consists of walking around a new town as Joker, the nameless protagonist and leader of the Phantom Thieves. We’re all traveling around the country to change more hearts — the Phantom Thieves’ unique way of making wrongdoers confess their crimes — over the summer, assisted by a new AI friend named Sophia, and Zenkichi, a 40-year-old public security investigator. But it’s also a chance for me, the player, to hang out with my virtual friends once again — characters that I love dearly, who I thought I saw the last of in Persona 5 Royal."
Hi guys just wondering if some on can help im currently streaming through Facebook and just made a group thats linked to my page but when I try and share clips from my fb gaming page to my group page no one can see the content but me, all they see is this message
Like @Misio, start with checking permissions (public/friends-only/private) for both the group and your personal content. Hit up #🔧│tech-support-archive if you need more help, I'll be over there.
RIGHT?? I even bought the deluxe version to be able to play it early. Need to work on setting up overlays for it ASAP, I use game themed ones for the big solo story games I plan to play.

Hey guys. Does anyone know any obsure brands in the streaming hardware world? Looking for other options in my search for streaming equipment. Alternatives for decks are what I am really after. Thanks!
Right now I've been streaming Future Tone on Mondays, and then AC Valhalla on Wed - Saturday. Thurs I'll stream something like Apex or another game I just wanna check out.
7:13 PM
Trying to wrap up Valhalla by next weekend so I can move on to Persona 5 Strikers
It is, but all the reviews are saying they added some turn based stuff to the combat, and a lot of the game is just traveling with the P5 homies and catching up

I try to.. Because im in asia so time zone is a prick. I dont have much going on right now coz my country is still under lockdown so if i am up and get the notifications, i would sit in or even just say hi and lurk
Ugggggh my GoXLR Mini got delayed, won't be here till Tuesday now. I was excited because I have off through Monday, so would have had lots of time to set it up.(edited)
Not sure if everyone else can make it, but 2-3 of us can make it for sure we could just play in Public then, to gain the amount of people we need. I’ll ask around for others to play on my end
TenderSausage
Do what you like to do. Your audience will follow.
You and the others on your side of the world could just join in whenever you’re ready / awake

I knoooow ive done a few streams without anyone to talk to but it still feels awkward just gotta push through it till it feels like the most natural thing in the world....hopefully....that comes
Quite - just chilled with my gf.. we actually went to a restaurant, but it was too loud so we bought Chinese and went home to watch some comedy series So, perfect
11:47 AM
I also need to mess around my discord server to be honest - do you have any good materials for inspiration how to kind of making it living (other than just having some games channels that people can L4P or sth)
And if anyone here streams around this time normally let me know I’ve seemed to have ran into everyone not streaming normal times and kinda blind raiding lately

Im not really used to talking honestly.. But am trying to break out of my comfort zone. I guess once we get the hang of it we will be fine hehe.. Just need to practice 10mil times
It’s weird because I do calls with my friends and I’ll be fine but then I think about talking to strangers in a room by myself and I have to try not to clam up
