Streamed a lot less this last month with internet outages and going between vegas and cali a bunch

Also Alien Isolation is good, but the game uses hard saves and that can be a pain in the ass at times lol. Playing through on the harder difficulties means one wrong move and you have to go back 15-20 minutes

Honestly I envy all of you that can handle horror games! I get so anxious haha I tried playing outlast 2 on stream and I didn’t get crazy far before I started getting too scared!

Part of me is glad Oct is done because I only did Horror games all month and I can get back to the normal play stuff xD

About 5 years ago someone I knew was working on developing a game, which I was going to be the writer for - lore, locations, races, etc. So I have a lot of notes from that I'm tempted to try and turn into a fantasy novel

I've been wanting to start an apparel line for a whiiiile but self doubt held me back, and I've literally just been working on it since last night and I'm already fairly confident that if I opened a three week preorder window, which is the max I could do while still being able to guarantee shipping before Christmas, I'd be able to order a large enough batch that I would make enough revenue to keep the project going.

I was watching one of Harris's videos on twitch setups and a commercial for that came up touting it as the "only piece of equipment you need to stream"it's supposed to be a very high quality mic plus webcam and one it's like $400. Just curious to anybody's heard about it, or tried it

Hey primo! I think that 'one click solutions' should be avoided, honestly. It turns 2 individual pieces of gear into one? I'm sceptical it would work well enough without issues, specially regarding compatibility with other things (hardware and software), as well as adaptability to all the needs that most streamers could have on their end.

Exactly my thoughts but since I'm just starting I was curious if anyone had tried it. And none of the YouTube videos I could give actually showed what the product looks like in use

I'd rather invest in a good mic first, then get a (somewhat) cheap DSLR to improve the video aspect.

I plan to make some proper stuff to place the christmas lights on, to not make them so messy.

I was gonna use some dome lights I can get for about 5 or 10 bucks and just pop in a couple of lights into it. But still got a bit before I do that, the pc is coming out of my bonus from my job

But I wanted to test them out like this to make sure that it would look good on stream, and not to invest too much on professional gear before I'm certain that I'm gonna persist on it.

Also, record yourself through OBS whenever you make changes to the audio, best way to spot critical issues before you go live

Yeah, always good to see how they behave, and notice the technical details.

Helped me to decide to buy the elgato wave 1, and a stream deck since this together are almost as good as the goxlr with a decent xlr mic. Also helped me to decide to use an iphone for my camera, at least to begin with.

Hi guys, Looking into XLR mics. From what i understand, id need a Audio interface to work with a XLR mic, do i need anything else besides the wires? like compatibility with my motherboard or somewhere along those lines?

@Xivire no, you shouldn’t. You’ll need the interface, an XLR mic, and a set of analog headphones, not USB.

@SomeTexanGuy im not one to talk but id suggest working towards having a community and improving your streams is better in the long run, after all it really is what twitch is fundementally about, having affiliate status isnt going to make anyone instantly a better streamer

@SomeTexanGuy id honestly say that getting affiliate before getting 3 avg viewers is worse for you, because the preroll ads will make new viewers even less likely, i personally regret hitting the affiliate button immediately when i had the choice

if i could do it over again i wouldve waited until i got 10 avg viewers regularly, because the preroll ads slow down your growth and i still havent even gotten a first payout yet
