how easy in theory would it be for me to safely remove a cpu from my laptop, and either attach normally or solder on a new one? ive heard a laptop and pc cpu are different parts and also I want to swap out the 4gb ram stick for like, 8 or 16. I may also just... not put it all back inside the laptop, just sorta macgyver it onto a piece of wood and use it as a pc-ish thing

it REALLY depends on the laptop based on the methods they close it up. Currently designated as potential cyclone 9, but going to be upgraded to Tropical Storm and then Hurricane Helene...anytime between now and tomorrow morning. For those unfamiliar a major hurricane means it is a Category 3 storm or higher, with winds of at least 111 MPH. It is expected to make landfall sometime Thursday afternoon/evening. While Tropical Storm watches are currently only being issued now for the Florida keys, expect far more widespread watches (extending to potentially Mississippi and Louisiana) by tomorrow morning. the best time to start preparing for the storm is RIGHT NOW while we are more than 36 hours away from landfall. It is currently in the western carribean and will thread the needle between the Yucatan and Cuba, and pass unobstructed into the gulf where it will then rapidly intensify before impacting the US mainland on Thursday.
