Alright so here's the deal (and I finally get something to rant about): 30C or 86F if you prefer seems warm, comfy even. Add some stupidly high relative humidity into the mix (let's say 64%, because I'm dealing with that right now), and you get some pretty unbearable weather due to an increased heat index (temperature combined with relative humidity). This increased heat index means that the temperature is now higher than just 30C to your body, and the high humidity also slows down the evaporation of sweat, so now not only are you hot as hell and sweating balls, but that sweat can't evaporate, which leaves you a sticky, sweaty mess. Now add in the fact that tropical regions don't get a seasonal cycle, and you're stuck with perpetual heat. There are monsoon seasons where you'd expect the rainy weather to be a bit more cooling, but with the increased humidity (see heat index above) there's little difference. (edited)
