I see your point about strategy and teamwork at higher difficulties, but the two don’t have to be mutually exclusive. I’d love to see a way to combine epic power progression with challenging gameplay.
I get it, but it's not really viable to just scale everything up. I still enjoy the game purely for the mechanics, not because of the scale. If they just gave you enemies and weapons that are 10x stronger, yes it would feel epic and awesome, for a time, but once the feeling wears off, you'd feel exactly the same as you do now. I'm the last person to say they shouldn't add bigger weapons and enemies, I want to see a nuke that destroys a quarter of the map and enemies that could eat a bile titan whole, but it would still be the same gameplay, I find the fun in this game by solving the puzzles it throws at me, not by destroying a 100m high creature with nukes. I understand you might find that fun somewhere else and it's fine, I just think the sense of scale is secondary to the core gameplay.
