Died like a true dwarf.
Yeah, another time I had a fortress turn into a horror story. So this was pre steam release DF so things were a bit less clear on the UI side of things. So I had a pretty good fortress going, around 50 dwarfs living their lives, well one season a human merchant came through, now this merchant was unfortunately a warezebra, also unfortunately it was a full moon that particular season so this man turned into a warezebra and while he was quickly driven off by the guards and never seen again, dwarfs started disappearing, there were murders in the halls. The population slowly started dropping one by one over the following years. Eventually I get despearte and gather all the dwarfs in the main hall with the millita, everyone, including children. Within moments eight of the surviving 45 dwarfs turn into warezebras and rip through the guards before proceeding to rip into the crowd, chaos erupts, the beasts are slain but only five adults and twelve children survived, and of those more than half are bitten.

a lot of it comes down to certain ragebait streamers and influencers communities drove a lot of it.... i dont think the community is really going to get away from it for awhile bc the game has proven to get consistent clicks/interaction with its popularity/outrage culture, so... negative feedback drives the continued coverage

honestly, people underestimate the dropoff of game popularity after launch/between major updates.... as well as the culture of console gamer attention span. its never a consistent number and there are lulls because we're p much overloaded with our attention split between all the new shiny things. that's why live service games do these as major updates at intervals. they arent trying to compete with your single player games lol, the goal is to get you to keep coming back afterwards

I came here because its the biggest community im in on discord. I need technical help with my new computer. In 2019 I got a ps4 with an external toshiba 1TB ssd. I just recently upgraded to a windows 10 computer and I saved the ssd. When I try to plug my ssd into the computer, all of the lights on the ssd work so I know its getting power, but the ssd isnt showing up in my files and I dont know why. Can anyone help me with it?
The first thing would be to make sure it's seated properly. Not saying you did it wrong, but you never know. Second, the SSD might be in a wrong format that your PC can't read, take a look into drive management if it's showing up in there

It doesnt show up in drive managment. My computer recognizes that something is being plugged in and it makes the sound, it just doesnt show up anywhere besides device manager. And device manager also says its up to date and working fine.

Agreed I almost guarantee that its formatted incorrectly for windows. Sadly you may not be able to use the exisiting info on the ssd with your PC because you will need to reformat which will wipe the drive
there are a few ways of doing it, but honestly look up the CMD process, its pretty straight forward
