54 minutes into the battle, my plan is being set into motion with 1/5 recon scouting ahead, the 152nd PG BN is deploying to the south near Waldberg to assault the town while the 15th PZ prepares to move down the highway once the towns ahead are scouted out.
Annd contact has been made. 152nd PZ Bn made contact with Soviet recon and mechanized in the town of Waldberg
Now with recon being established to confirm that there's not a rush of soviet MBT's roaring down the highwayy the 15th PZ and MTR elements of the 152nd can turn and flank the soviets at Sandberg, meanwhile at the point of contact 2/2 is assaulting to gain the high ground level with the town while 1/2 and 3/2 hold in place, 3/1 of the 5th R is doing a cheeky run around to harass the road where presumably more soviets will be showing up at.
The soviets are definitely caught off guard, having retreated further now and with 1/2 and 3/2 destroying three or more enemy BRDM-2's
Meanwhile it's just more of the same, all the pieces moving into place to take this town

With the soviets falling back it's time to make a push, it's going to be risky since I don't have the 15th in place yet to move on Sandburg but if I don't capitalize now I am going to risk a counter attack.
It is as I feared, that recon unit I sent down the highway ran face first into soviet SPAA with mechanized backing it up, meanwhile the 152nd just got it's ass handed to it as Soviet MBT's rolled up just as they were mounting for the assault, losing 6 APC's and 3 infantry while inflicting no losses on the soviets.
Ok well then, that escalated quickly. Hit the soviets hard in the north, wiping out two SPAA units, badly mauling their mech support and my artillery did some damage to whatever's coming up the highway from Wegfurt.
In the south even more Soviet MBT's showed up along with those helicopters, fortunately the 152nd were in the woodline so damage was minimal and the choppers disengaged pretty quickly. Unfortunately the recon element I sent on that cheeky flank ran into more tanks and got utterly destroyed.

Managed to take out 5 soviet tanks in the south with artillery and ATGMs, the rest of my forces finally arrived including the rest of the 15th Pz in the south which means I can do an armored pincer on this concentration of armor.
Nothing really exciting going on in the north as the Soviets have not commited serious force to the highway, I am taking artillery fire in the towns here but no losses.

17 tanks 12 mech and 8 HQ units destroyed so far for relatively minmal losses of my own.
